MEMPHIS MAY FIRE

Memphis May Fire is a band from Dallas, Texas.  They are signed by Rise Records.  I love them so much, this ginger throws down like no other.  They to are going to be playing at Warped Tour, I am super stoked about getting to be able to see them.  Its going to be so brutal, some crazy pits and walls of death I bet are going to go down.  I love the song "The Sinner" by them.  His clean vocals are so beautiful, his transitions from clean to unclean are super bad ass.  I also love their lyrics, once again not unmeaningful crap, but good shit to hear.  These guys are so talented!  So check them out!

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE

Now these guys are pretty interesting.  They cover them selves in black paint for shows and shave their eyebrows off, but hey who cares they play bad ass music! They are best known for their dark horror themed lyrics and super Gothic imagery.  They are signed to Fearless Records and are from Scranton, Pennsylvania.  I am so stoked to see these guys play at Warped this year, its going to be SICK.  I have a feeling the crowd is going to get down and be super rough when these dudes are playing.  I love moshing and I think the pits to this band are gonna be tiiiiight!  I really don't know what to expect seeing these guys live, but whatever it is i am STOKED.  I guess I am in for a surprise. I love Chris's vocals, plus he looks super bad ass, he just has this crazy hard look.  I wouldn't mess with him, he would probably kill you.  Hahahahaha.  But these guys play some ridiculous music, I love blasting them in my car.  Oh I also like how they have the keyboard and it makes their sound that much more bad ass.

DREAM ON DREAMER

Dream on Dreamer, mmm another one of my super favorite bands!  These guys are from Melbourne, Victoria in Australia :) :) :) which is super kick ass just the fact that they are from such an awesome place.  And they too were signed by Rise Records.  These guys were opening at a show back in February for Attack Attack and all the other bands there.  I personally think that they should have been headlining over Attack Attack, they were SO fricken good.  I really hope that they come around my parts this summer, this is a band that I would go see again in a heartbeat, they threw down and for being a band that no one really knew they really got everyone pumped and into their music.  Dream on Dreamer as well have amazing vocals, clean and unclean.  One of my favorite songs by them is Ambitions.  But really I love ALL their stuff.  I could totally say these guys are on my top 5 favorite bands, they are the shit.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check em' out.  Bad ass shit right here!

WOE, IS ME

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I ripped the tongue from his mouth and left him gasping for breath.  I told you that you'll reap what you sow. But you wanted fame, so fuck your ego."  Brutal ain't it?  Meet Woe, Is Me, they are signed to Rise Records but of course and are from Atlanta, Georgia.  I have seen them twice as well and they THREW DOWN both times.  But they were having some complications with the unclean vocals and so they had different vocalist each time I saw them.  The first time was a badass show, Michael Bohn was the vocalist at the time and Woe, Is Me was opening for Miss May I and really got the crowd pumped as fuck.  There were a shit ton of people crowd surfing and mosh pits and everyone was gettin' down and singing along.  They opened with "Vengeance" duh, its like their most main stream song but I personally like it the most.  It was so kickass.  Then the second time I saw them they had the new vocalist Doriano Magliano and let me tell you, this guy must have worked so hard because he knew what he was doing and he nailed the songs.  I like him WAY more.  He was crazy, he walked out onto the crowd and they were holding him up while he was still preforming and his lows are BANANAS.  That show was so sick, they really got the crowd started and "Vengeance" totally blew me away.  I love Woe, Is Me, they are super fun to see and I also really like their pop remixes.  Check these niggas out.

THE CRIMSON ARMADA

Oh shit, The Crimson Armada.  Fucking BRUTAL.  I am absolutely in love with these guys.  I have yet to see them in concert and you have no idea HOW BAD I want too.  A long time ago when Miss May I came to the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs Crimson Armada played with them.  My friends got to go and I unfortunetly could not make it to that show.  SAD, SAD day for Bianca :(  But I am sure that one of these days I will get around to being able to experiencing these guys.  They are signed to Metal Blade Records and from Colombus, Ohio.  Everytime I hear one of their songs I am just in AWWW.  Their music is so groovy, and holy tits the double bass in like ALL their songs espeically in "Juggernaut" :O its wild!!!  I literally get excited when I hear their music.  One of my all time favorite songs is actually "Juggernaut" it is beyond brutal.  I love the begginning with the dark sounding orchestra mixed in with the wild drums!  Its like an automatic JIZZ when this song comes on.  And that song is never aloud to be turned down low, when it comes on, it is blasted.  I adore the vocals.  His fucking lows and highs and all in between just make me happy.  The more brutal the merrier.  I love their new stuff, the ablum "Conviction" especially the song "Napalm" and guess who guest vocals in that song...... YEP you got it LEVI BENTON :) :) tasty, tasty music mmmm.  You best be looking these guys up if you haven't a clue about them.  I promise you will not be let down.

SLEEPING WITH SIRENS

Sleeping With Sirens isn't a super hardcore metal band and I am fully aware...  But they are still on the more hard side and I love their music.  They are signed by Rise Records and are from Orlando, Florida.  I have seen Sleeping With Sirens once and they put on a great show.  Kellin Quinn is the vocalist and not only is he gorgeous but he has such awesome voice.  He screams as well but mainly sings and boy is it lovely to the ears.  I really enjoy the fact that his vocals are just as good live as they are on the recordings.  His stage presence is ridiculous and he always has the crowd going.  At their show they actually had a really large mosh pit and everyone was getting down to them.  They are going to be at Warped Tour this year and I am almost positive that I am going to have to see them again.  They are great musicians and I love all their lyrics and songs.   They are really deep and romantic and I just love em'.  My favorite song by them is "If You Can't Hang" and you bet i know all the words.  Give these guys a chance and look them up if you haven't heard of them, you never know you might like them! :)

WE CAME AS ROMANS

We Came As Romans is signed to Equal Vision Records, and they are from Troy, Michigan.  I truly adore this band.  I love their style and their concerts are always SICK, except for one thing...  Kyle, their clean vocalist sucks live.  There I said it.  I love WCAR so much, and  on their recordings the clean vocals sounds soooo good but with the two times I have seen them the clean vocals are just horrible.  Good thing the rest of the band is flat out brutal to make up for the shitty cleans.  I do have to give it to Kyle though, he does try hard and at shows he really gets the crowd involved and without him the band wouldn't be the same, so I do respect his effort.  I still respect them as a band and love them all the same.  The second time I saw them they were headlining at the Summit Music Hall in Denver and holy tits, when they came on there was a good 4 mosh pits going to them, they were so brutal and it was SO much fun.  Their stage presence was crazy and the unclean vocals were PERFECT, I have not one complaint on them.  Also that show was the first time I have ever crowd surfed and it was to their song "Plant A Seed" which is one of my all time favorites by them.  WCAR is another band that has really awesome lyrics which I think is really cool when bands can take the time to make legit songs and not just crap.  Totally a band that I would go see again because all in all they are a great band.

OF MICE & MEN

Of Mice & Men is one of my favorite bands along side of Miss May I.  One of the bands that i can always listen too and NEVER get tired of listening to them!  Just everything about them is amazing, such a great band.  They are signed to Rise Records as well and are from Costa Mesa, California.  In my opinion I believe that Austin has the best vocal range out of any one else.  The notes this guy hits with his screams, and the range of his mids, highs and lows is just ridiculous.  Not only is his range stellar but he has some of the longest screams ever, it just purely amazes me.  Oh and then there is Shayley.  Shayley has the voice of an angel.  I wish I could just have Shay come sing to me all the time.  I love his voice.  Their lyrics are so meaningful and deep and they are real easy to relate too.  There drummer is amazing, he has some CRAZY symbol fills.  Just speaking of this band gets me excited.  I cannot wait to see them again this year at Warped Tour, shit is going to get real on main stage.  SO STOKED.  Some of the greatest musicians in my opinion.  But sad, sad story.  Shayley left the band, looks like there was some conflict and Austin wanted to be the front man, so Shayley is out. :(  But on the bright side Austin has some gorgeous cleans so not much is going to change.  I also really enjoy that they have some super pretty slow songs, I really appreciate that they mix it up!  This band is the bee knees.  YOU HAVEN'T heard of them?  WELL YOU BETTER LOOK THEM UP.

THE AIR I BREATHE

The Air I Breathe is signed to Rise Records and they are from New Jersey.  These guys throw down like none other.  Their show was so amazing.  Tony is the vocalist for TAIB and holy balls his vocals are completely unique, I have never heard another vocalist that even has a scream close to Tony's.  His scream is super brutal, it has a very raspy tone to it and it is so beautiful to hear, plus their songs are bad ass.  Not only are his screams sweet but his cleans are just so ridiculously good as well, he is just a friggin' great vocalist in general. They have some super groovy two step action and the guitarist SHRED.  Holy cow, I love the guitar from this band because they aren't the typical metal band shit, they add some super personal flare to their music which is so cool, really sets them apart from everyone else.  But the two guitarist Jesse and Cam are guitar gods.  Unfortunately Jesse is no longer in the band.  When i saw them in concert during March Jesse wasn't there, so after the show we went to go talk to Tony at their merch table.  Tony explained that Jesse wasn't really feeling the whole band thing any longer and decided he need to do different things in his life, and believe it or not he chose to go work at this dads church and help out there.  Interesting decision but whatever floats his boat I guess.  These guys are such a great band and I adore them dearly.  Another band I would totally love to see them again soon.  Like every other blog, if you haven't heard of these cool cats please check their shit out and expand your musical horizons.

LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES

Like Moths To Flames is a super badass band.  They are from Columbus, Ohio.  I recently saw these guys in March along with The Air I Breathe.  Like Moths To Flames was so kick ass, they were super fun to watch.  They all had amazing stage presence, especially their bassist.  One of their guitarist really entertained my friends and I, he looked like a friggin' vampire from the Twilight movies, except in a metal head form.  He had in these super crazy red contacts it was definitely interesting.  But they played a super good show, my favorite song was "Something to Live For."  In that song Chris does this crazy "BLEHHH" its soooooooooo heroic, I totally got goosebumps throwin' down to that song.  I would totally love to see these guys again but in a bigger venue.  But the small venue had its perks because I got to be right in the front of the stage it was amazing.  I knew every word to every song they played and it was such a sick experience.  Love these dudes.  Check em' out.
