THE WORD ALIVE

The Word Alive is such a lovely band, they are from Phoenix, Arizona and signed to Fearless records.  A band I have been dying to see for a second time.  The Word Alive was the first metal band I ever saw in concert, they threw down, leaving me with a new found love for concerts!  Definitely a day and band to be remembered.  I can remember it perfectly they came out starting with the song "Hounds of Anubis" and ending it with the song "2012" both amazing songs.  On the recording for "2012" Levi Benton from Miss May I guest vocals on a section of the song, Telle and Levi together is just heavenly.  They are so groovy, they have a synthesizer which gives them an extra sweet sound, and they have some of the most CRAZY BASS DROPS, mmmm tasty.  I absolutely love Telle's vocals, he has some killer range.  They are so amazing.  His lows are beautiful and deep and his highs are so hard to explain, they aren't annoying and all high pitch sounding, they are like the perfect pitch and not only are his screams awesome but his cleans are just as heroic and melodic.  I just love how he transitions from screaming to singing without a problemIts just so easy to listen too, and even easier to get down to at a show.  Telle just like Levi has a clothing line with some again awesome shit, its called Resist and Rebel!  Check it out!  Another reason I adore The Word Alive is due to them having some super awesome stage presence, always doing something and you just look at them like how the shit are you still going but hey I appreciate that, makes the experience that much better. Again a group of very talented guys.  Love them.
Never heard of them?
LOOK THEM UP.

MISS MAY I

Miss May I is one of my favorite bands.  From Troy, Ohio and signed by Rise Records.  They are high energy and always fun to go see in concert.  I have seen Miss May I two times now, although its only been twice they never cease to impress me.  I am pretty stoked to get to see them again for a third time at the Vans Warped Tour 2012 in Denver, Colorado on June 17th.  They are going to be on the main stage and I do not doubt that they are going to impress me once again.  I just get so excited even just thinking about seeing them, they are just that band that you can put on at any time and just jam too and never get tired of them.  The second time I saw them I met the vocalist Levi Benton, he is such a down to earth guy and he really truly appreciates his fans and everyone that supports their band.  Levi has some godly vocals, his range in my opinion is awesome.  With brutal lows and smooth highs and he even has that in between with some mids, simply amazing (in my opinion).  Also Levi owns a clothing line called Vursa Limited, they have some awesome clothes and accessories.  His girlfriend Jojo and him run it together, its super bad ass, if you have never heard of it check that shit out!!  I really hope to meet the whole band one of these days they are all super talented guys.  Any time they are near I will totally go to their show.  I love all their songs, they are all pretty heavy with some cleans thrown into it for a real nice sound.  My favorite songs are "Harlots Breath" and "Forgive and Forget."  I actually got a quote from the song Harlots Breath tattooed on my foot because I really dig their lyrics, they are super meaningful and not just about stupid crap. Anyways that's my rant on my boys, MISS MAY I! <3
Never heard of them.  GTFO and go listen to them.
